Clothes that will have you feeling wonderful

We are firm believers in the power of clothing to make you feel good. Getting up and getting dressed will get your day off to the best start possible. These are some of our favourite brands which we find are a perfect match for your retirement lifestyle and wardrobe.

Birdsnest – more an emporium than a store, birdsnest offers it all from clothes, to shoes, jewellery and gifts. Coupled with excellent service, do check them out.

Blue Bungalow – another great source of clothes, shoes, jewellery and gifts, and you will be amazed how quickly your purchases arrive.

Blue Illusion – look here for classic pieces with a chic French influence

Costa Vita Purolino – designed in Australia, ethically produced in Italy using natural fibres, with a special focus on linen

Styling You The Label – Australian owned, designed and made. A favourite place to shop for clothes designed for real women

Great travel brands

Travel is one of our greatest pleasures – whether intrastate, interstate or international. These are a few of our tried and tested favourites.

AAT Kings – AAT Kings have a strong track record for guided tours in both Australia and New Zealand, offering everything from half and full day tours, short breaks and longer holidays up to 3 weeks.

booking.com – we have, as much as possible, moved away from using AIrbnb due to the social impact this program has had in many locations where short term accommodation is impacting communities. We will still sometimes choose an apartment if we are staying longer term but will book these through booking.com. We find booking provides us the best choice of accommodation of all types and the reviews are reliable too. Make sure you read the cancellation policies of the property you are booking.

Cover-More – first things first – get your insurance in place immediately you have made your first booking, and yes for domestic travel too.. We insure with Cover-More and have claimed with them on a couple of occasions and found their service amazing, including having to deal with foreign languages and complex receipt processes.

Europcar – we have booked vehicles through Europcar on several occasions and always had great experiences. As well as on airport pickup and drop offs you can often find really handy city locations as well. You will also be able to select from a wide range of vehicles.
